Babinda to Mareeba

Babinda! Wow we were here 6 years ago and coming back it just seems like yesterday. Not much has changed but it is still a nice place. Although we did have an encounter with a local who sold honey!! he told us a bit of history about the place apparently there was a murder every week and his house is haunted! then he inevitably sold us burnt sugar flavoured honey at an exorbitant price haha!! It also rained a bit and we got a little soaked while walking up Goldrush track.

Cardwell

Also another place we visited a few years back that has not changed much, was the Cardwell Lookouts.

Lake Placid & Barron Falls

Lake Placid!! We all enjoyed our stay here, especially because it was the first time we had all had hot showers for awhile:-) We performed our fire and whip show at the Lake Placid Caravan Park which went well.

We found some white water rafters! so us being white water guru's decided to watch for awhile, and have a good laugh at one of the guides who decided to rescue one of his punters by the helmet ripping it clean off his head! Whoops! we all got a little itchy to get into the white water but had a few restraints - no boats for a start:-(

Up the road a bit we visited the Barron Falls, another beautiful spot on the map!

Mareeba

Ant mounds surround the Mareeba area

Our Camp! we got told it was primitive! What? Naa!!!

Some of the many hundreds of caravanies at the rodeo grounds who watched one of our whip cracking and fire dancing shows which went very well also!! Except... well we won't say, but someone decided to light themselves on fire!
